Terms of Use

Last updated October 18, 2026

These terms cover your use of K12 Newsletter (k12newsletter.com), a service of Headstay Digital LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By signing in, you agree to them, to our Privacy Policy, and, for paid plans, to our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Free trial

Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial of the plan you choose. A credit or debit card is needed to start it. Cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged; otherwise your plan starts when the trial ends, and your card is charged for the first billing period. Some people get a signup code from us for a free period without a card; when it ends, add a card to keep your plan.

Paid plans, cancelling, and refunds

Plans are subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime and keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. Features may change over time. Refund requests must be emailed to support@k12newsletter.com. The details are in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Your account

  • You need to be an adult using K12 Newsletter for school or educational work.
  • You sign in with your own Google account, or your own email and password. Keep it secure, and don't share your K12 Newsletter account with others. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Use your real name and an email address you check.

Your content

  • What you write and upload stays yours. You allow us to store and process it only to run the service for you, including through the providers named in our Privacy Policy, and to enforce these terms.
  • Only upload material you have the right to use: for example, logos and newsletters from your own school or organization, and photos you're allowed to publish.
  • You're responsible for having permission to include students' names and photos, following your school's policy.

Acceptable use

K12 Newsletter is for school communities. Don't use it to make, store, or share anything that:

  • is illegal, or promotes illegal activities, products, or services;
  • is sexually explicit or pornographic, or includes intimate images shared without consent;
  • sexualizes, exploits, grooms, or endangers children (anyone under 18) in any way;
  • discriminates against, harasses, or promotes hatred of people because of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, national origin, or any similar trait;
  • threatens or promotes violence, self-harm, or harm to people or animals, or shows graphic violence;
  • is bullying, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise offensive in a way that isn't suitable for a school community;
  • shares someone's private information without permission, including students' personal details;
  • is fraudulent or deliberately misleading, such as scams, phishing, or pretending to speak for a school, person, or organization you don't represent;
  • infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights; or
  • is spam, or contains viruses or other harmful code.

These rules cover everything you upload or write, everything you ask the AI to make, and newsletters you make here and share elsewhere. We decide, in our reasonable judgment, whether something breaks them.

Review and enforcement

  • We may review an account and its content, without notice, when we have reason to believe it breaks these terms: for example, after a report, or when we notice something while fixing a problem.
  • If it does, we may, without notice: remove or block the content; suspend the account; close the account and delete its content; and refuse a new account to the same person.
  • We may report content to law enforcement or other authorities when the law requires it or someone may be at risk. Material that sexually exploits children is always reported.
  • If you think we got it wrong, email privacy@k12newsletter.com and we'll take another look.

Publishing to the web

  • You can publish a finished newsletter to its own web page. Anyone with its link can see it, so publish only what you have permission to share publicly, including students' names and photos.
  • Published pages follow the acceptable use rules above. Anyone can report one, and we may take a page down, without notice, while we look into it.
  • You can unpublish at any time, and the link stops working right away.

AI-written content

K12 Newsletter uses AI to read designs and to write and edit newsletters. AI can make mistakes, such as wrong dates or wording that isn't quite right. Please read your newsletter before you share it; you decide what goes out, and you're responsible for what you send. Don't use the AI features to try to make anything the acceptable use rules above don't allow.

Fair use

  • AI features have usage limits (for example, a monthly amount per account). When you reach one, AI features pause until it resets; editing, photos, and downloads keep working.
  • Don't try to get around its limits or security; don't overload, copy, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, or use bots to access it; don't resell or share access to it; and don't use it to build a competing product.

Ending

You can stop using K12 Newsletter and delete your account and data at any time from the account menu. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms (see “Review and enforcement”). We may also end the service; if we do, we'll try to give you time to download your newsletters first. An account closed for breaking these terms may not get that chance.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something made with K12 Newsletter infringes your copyright, email privacy@k12newsletter.com with what it is, where you saw it, and how to reach you. We'll remove infringing content and close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.

No guarantees

K12 Newsletter is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

If someone makes a claim against us because of your content or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from it, to the extent the law allows.

Governing law

Headstay Digital LLC is a New York limited liability company. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about them or about K12 Newsletter will be handled by the state or federal courts in New York, except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions (for example, through “Report an issue”), we may use them to improve K12 Newsletter without owing you anything.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for changes that matter we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Questions go to privacy@k12newsletter.com.

These terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Cancellation and Refund Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about K12 Newsletter. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something right away, we can still enforce it later. If K12 Newsletter is sold or transferred, these terms go with it.
